8/25/26 — More Flexible Question Ordering

Randomize voice questions and question groups across browser and phone studies while preserving the order where it matters.

    August 25, 2026

We’ve added more flexibility to the order in which participants encounter voice questions. Studies can now randomize questions and groups of questions across both browser and phone interviews.

    What’s New

Your research team can vary question order while keeping the structure your study needs. Selected questions can stay in a fixed position, and related questions can stay together in a set even as the sets themselves appear in a different order.

    Key Features

    • Question randomization: Vary the order of selected voice questions
    • Anchored questions: Keep introductions or other fixed questions in place
    • Randomized sets: Change the order of sets while preserving the sequence of questions within each set
    • Browser and phone support: Apply the design across both recording formats

    Why It Matters

Question order can influence how participants respond. For a concept comparison, your research team can vary which concept comes first while keeping each concept’s questions together. This gives the team another way to manage order effects without losing the intended flow of the interview.
